So here is my link to my blog theme site, and probably my blog site forever now. When initally creating a blogsite for this unit i didn’t take into account the fact that we needed to cutomize everything so i have kicked off this shit wordpress and moved to tumblr i think everyone should assimilate.

heres the link

Alright so i have finally got my website up onto the internet finally i will give a quick run down on how it works.

There are a couple of things that might need to be explained so that you can find them, the main one is that most of the external link pages and youtube video content is within in the subpages.  The subpages can be found in the artists page, the link is the first 6 band pictures.

The website was designed to be a fixed width and hieght i wanted it this way so that i could create a fixed image in the background i thought that it would be much more effective if i created something that is themed, since normally stonefest is themed.

So here is the finished homepage of my website, HTML and CSS completed finally.  I am at the moment in the process of contructing the rest of the pages.  I am having the most trouble with styling my artists page because it is the most complicated page in the site.  It will hold my sub navs and video content.  I want the artists pictures to link to the sub pages but the pictures need to be in a scrolling box.  I am not to sure on how to do this but it don’t think that it will be that hard.

Ok i would include a picture but it wont upload properly so i wont worry about it at this moment.

I will have the website done very soon.

firstly i would like to say thankgod for the extension there would have been now way on earth that i would have finished the website at all.  I have spent my time creating the remainder of the pages in Dreamweaver and now have finished the basic layous for nearly every page.  Though there is still some tweaking to do before i am happy with it, yet again i am most likely doing it the most round about way possible but it doesn’t matter becuase it works eventually and thats all i need.  I will post somepictures a bit later.

I have styled my first hompage finally it looks like vomit when viewing it in dreamweaver but it turns out alright when looking at it in Mozila which is all that counts really.  I have now moved onto styling my artists page but i don’t have a real good idea of how to do it.  i want it to be in a scrolling nav box and the firstb 2 pictures be links to sub pages in the site. i am having trouble trying to get 2 colums up but i will for now move onto the other pages before i tackle the rest of this one.  I have now completely read the book and watched all of the lectures like ten times.

So i have fixed my original problem with the text it appears that i was not listening to Geoff properly and decided to go ahead and apply to my main content div a left margin which made it live in its own world instead of where it actually should live, yes i know rookie mistake by me.  I have also conluded that I hate Dreamweaver with a passion it is by far the most irratible program ever invented and there has been countless swear word yelled at it.  I have also decided to include scrolling content boxes in my pages that way i can keep with my fixed height template that i ahve created and i think i have a good idea on how to do that.  Though i am struggling at the moment to cope with creating this thing i have gotten help from some people but seriously someone needs to sit down and go through it with me that way i can understand because i am a but slow.   I honestly don’t think that i will get this done by the deadline its to freaking big, oh well.

The home page for the website is coming along but i am having trouble trying to style the text, this is the first time i have ever created a website and i am possible doing it in the most unorthadox way possible.  I am having problems with getting my text to stay snapped to the back ground image it appears that it is stayng within its own box rather than being styled to the back ground image.  No matter how many times i watch the god damn lecture from geoff i can’t figure it out and it is driving me crazy.  I haven’t started to even think about getting the other pages together, i will get there.

Alright so i have started to write the CSS i have finished the home page HTML and now i am starting to style it.  I have also created the lay out for the rest of the pages. CSS seems daunting but i have read most of the chapter in the required text and think i might be able to do it effectively.

here is a picture of the box layout for the opening page.Picture 2

alright i will try again to load a picture up.
